2019 Volleyball Registration Information:
PLEASE READ! We are a recreational league composed of volunteers. Board members and coaches are all volunteers, none of which receive remuneration. When you sign your child up to participate in one of our programs you might find that you are placed on a "WAIT LIST" and you will not be invoiced for payment while on this list. The reason for the wait list is because we do not currently have a volunteer coach or coaches to handle additional players at this time. Our programs work thanks to volunteers and we have not figured out how to manufacture or clone helpers and/or coaches. We have always had excellent community support and we are hoping that continues and gives us the ability to handle all those children wishing to participate in a program.
As we get additional coaches we will move that coaches child to "spot reserved" status and also move the next several players for team formation to that status. When you are moved from the wait list to spot reserved you will then be invoiced for payment. If a payment is not received promptly (within a few days) then that spot will go to the next person on the wait list and the person who didn't pay will move back to the top of the wait list.

In the Volleyball League there will be two (or three) divisions of play depending on the skill level of players. If there are three levels they will be as follows: An Upper Level (Black), a Middle Level (White) and a Lower level (Orange). The League will be open for 3rd Grade to 6th Grade players.The season will start by having approximately one week of training and skills development with all registered players prior to being placed onto teams. Once teams are selected those teams will have two practices per week of: (1-1/2 hours max, Upper Level), (1-1/4 hours max, Mid Level), (1 hours max, Lower Level). Games will be mostly on Saturdays at various District 6 gyms.

General Information:
- Volleyball is open to boys and girls aged 3rd through 6th grades
- Volleyball is Co-Ed
- * Sibling Discounts: In order to have a discount apply you will need to call the program director (or one of them). Due to having a WAIT LIST situation the discount must be applied manually by a director when that child is moved off of the wait list. Discounts are not automatically applied!
- Cost to participate is $40 per athlete, $70 for two siblings, and $90 max per family
- Note that no discount is awarded for participation in other Jr. Comet Sports programs
2019 Season Information:
- Registration opens: Friday July 12, 2019
- Registration closes: Sunday September 9, 2019
- Skills Evaluation Day Info:
- #1 - When: Monday August 5, 2019
- #2 - A second skill evaluation is planned for Monday Sept. 9,2019
- Time: TBD but hopefully as follows
- 3rd/4th grades: 6 - 7pm
- 5th/6th grades: 7 - 8pm
- Where: Central Point Elementary Gym
- ***All players are expected to attend this skills evaluation, even if you are on the wait-list!
- ***Players should wear appropriate athletic attire and shoes.
- Practices begin: Week of Monday Sept. 11, 2019
- Games begin: September 21, 2019
Registration Instructions
- Determine which program you want to preregister in and click the orange "register" button.
- In the new page that opens you will register your account.
- You must read and accept the terms of the "waiver".
- Then you add the athlete(s) information.
- Pay with a credit card.
- Your child must still attend and complete the Skill Evaluations (date listed above).
